So I’m not into making long list of resolutions for the New Year. I did away with that many years ago. Instead I focus on a WORD THEME for the year. A WORD that works as a GUIDE and FOCUS point for all the different areas of my life. By not having very specific plans, I am open to what shows up in my experiences and embrace all the challenges, the growth and the learning that needs to happen that year. For example, in 2014, my word theme was "UPGRADE". That year I ended up upgrading so many different areas of my life- my entire home was completely renovated. We got our first dog, 'BRUNO', a beagle now 6 years old and definitely upgraded the energy of our home with all his love. I found myself investing in a training workshop for writers with other amazing women and co-authoring a book which became an International best seller on amazon. Not to forget upgrading my entire website, which was a painful slow process, but a very rewarding one. I was stretched out of my comfort zone in many different areas but it was totally worthwhile! All with one word intention for the year. Similarly, other theme words over the years have been INTEGRATE, CLARITY, EASE, etc. The process I use to come up with a WORD Theme for the year is by reflecting on the year gone by and seeing:
2018 for me was a year of surprises, discoveries, pleasant and unpleasant. What didn't work in 2018 was that I found myself resisting a lot of the challenging situations I was faced with. I was too involved an entangled in the "dramas" of other people's lives and that took a toll on me. I found taking myself and life a bit too seriously, something I do not want to do into 2019. And so this year my WORD for 2019 is FLOW. Each day as I move forward I ground and anchor myself each morning by reminding myself of my theme word. It becomes my guide as I navigate the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual landscapes of the day. If you are like me and tend to feel bored or overwhelmed creating long lists of specific resolutions that keep repeating year after year, I invite you to try a one word theme for 2019. What is it that YOU want to FEEL and EXPERIENCE this year? Is it Clarity? Courage? Peace? Love? Freedom? What might be your Theme Word for the year? As you sit back and reflect, you might come up with an idea, a thought, a feeling that captures what you want to see/feel/experience in the next 12 months. Let that be your guide as you move forward in 2019! Image Copyright: 123RF Stock Photo | Wedezign |

"The first session with Shalini changed the way I look at life. She helped me realize that I can choose not to carry all the emotional stress and pain. I experienced almost an instant relief after a session with Shalini. EFT tapping with Shalini is very effective and definitely a recommendation for everyone." Nippita Pukdeetanakul
